Oscillations of fluid tori around neutron stars

We examine the influence of quadrupole moment a slowly rotating neutron star (NS) on oscillations fluid accretion disk (torus) orbiting compact object spacetime around which is described by Hartle-Thorne geometry. Explicit formulae for non-geodesic orbital epicyclic and precession frequencies, as well their simplified practical versions that allow an expeditious application universal relations determining NS properties, are obtained examined. demonstrate difference in frequencies NSs same mass angular momentum, but different oblateness, can reach up to tens percent. Even higher differences arise when with rotational frequency, equations state (EoS), considered. In particular, Lense-Thirring frequency defined innermost parts region differ more than one order magnitude across EoS. Our results have clear implications models LMXBs variability.
